Pickled aloo paratha

Aloo paratha with the flavor of pickle to get the spicy and sour taste. This recipe is mainly for the pickle lovers or you can prepare red or green chutney of your choice and apply on the surface. Simple and easy to follow instructions with step by step photo is clearly illustrated.

Pickled aloo paratha
  1. Boil 4-5 potatoes and peel the skin
  2. Mash them finely
  3. In a pan add 1 tsp butter
  4. Add few curry leaves
  5. Add 1 finely chopped onion saute well
  6. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  7. Add mashed potatoes
  8. Add 1 tsp salt
  9. Add 2 tsp kashmiri red chilly powder
  10. Mix and saute till masala binds
  11. Take a ball sized chapati dough
  12. Dust flour and flatten well
  13. Take 1/2 tsp any variety of pickle of your choice.
  14. Spread it on the surface
  15. Take a ball of the prepared potato stuffing
  16. Make pleats of the edges to the centre
  17. Press gently
  18. Dust flour and roll again flat gently
  19. Flatten as thinly as possible
  20. Preheat tawa and add rolled out chapati
  21. Cook both sides in low flame apply oil
  22. Pickled aloo paratha is ready to serve
