Aloo paratha with the flavor of pickle to get the spicy and sour taste. This recipe is mainly for the pickle lovers or you can prepare red or green chutney of your choice and apply on the surface. Simple and easy to follow instructions with step by step photo is clearly illustrated.

Pickled aloo paratha
Ingredients
- 4-5 Potatoes / உருளைக்கிழங்கு
- 1 Tsp Butter
- Few Curry Leaves / கறிவேப்பிலை
- 1 Onion / வெங்காயம் Finely chopped
- 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 2 Tsp Kashmiri red chilly powder
- 2 Cups Wheat flour For chapati dough
- Water
- Oil
Instructions
- Boil 4-5 potatoes and peel the skin
- Mash them finely
- In a pan add 1 tsp butter
- Add few curry leaves
- Add 1 finely chopped onion saute well
- Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Add mashed potatoes
- Add 1 tsp salt
- Add 2 tsp kashmiri red chilly powder
- Mix and saute till masala binds
- Take a ball sized chapati dough
- Dust flour and flatten well
- Take 1/2 tsp any variety of pickle of your choice.
- Spread it on the surface
- Take a ball of the prepared potato stuffing
- Make pleats of the edges to the centre
- Press gently
- Dust flour and roll again flat gently
- Flatten as thinly as possible
- Preheat tawa and add rolled out chapati
- Cook both sides in low flame apply oil
- Pickled aloo paratha is ready to serve
