Mutton Pepper roast excellent side dish for sambhar sadham and rasam sadham. You can have it like a starter dish also. This recipe is from my moms kitchen. I remember each and every sunday in my childhood is mostly with dal and mutton roast. Me and my brother’s all time favorite recipe.

Ingredients
- 1/2 Kg mutton
- 2 Onion / வெங்காயம் Chopped
- 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste / இஞ்சி பூண்டு பேஸ்ட்
- 2 Green Chilly / பச்சை மிளகாய்
- 1 tbsp Pepper Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds / சீரகம்
- Few Curry leaves and coriander leaves

Instructions
- Keep all ingredients ready
- Cook mutton separately in a pressure cooker for 4-5 whistles or till it is cooked. If not cooked for 4 whistles keep in a open container and cook till its done.
- In a pan add 1 tsp oil add cumin seeds.
- Add 2 green chilly cut lengthwise.
- Add curry leaves and saute.
- Add chopped onion and saute till glassy.
- Add 2 tbsp. ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes off
- Add cooked mutton pieces without water to the pan. Add 1 tbsp pepper powder and 1 tsp salt and mix well. Roast well till the wetness in the mutton disappears.
- Almost it take 10-15 minutes in low flame. If you cook in medium or high flame the mutton pieces will burn.
- Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves and serve.
- Mutton Pepper roast is ready to serve.
