Maida burfi

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Maida
  • 1 Cup Sugar / சர்க்கரை
  • 1/2 Cup Ghee / நெய்
  • 1/2 Tsp Cardamon Powder

Method
 

  1. Keep all ingredients ready
  2. In a pan heat ghee till melts
  3. Once the ghee melts
  4. Add sieved maida flour
  5. Mix well till bind together roast in low flame. Once done keep aside.
  6. In the same pan add sugar add 1 cup water
  7. Allow to boil well
  8. Add food coloring if any
  9. Boil till single string consistency
  10. Now add the roasted maida in ghee
  11. Mix till bind well without lumps.
  12. Keep in low flame
  13. It becomes thick and flowing consistency in less than 5 minutes.
  14. Add cardamon powder and give a quick stir.
  15. Grease a plate and pour the maida mixture
  16. After 5-10 mins start cutting in shape of your choice
  17. Once it cool down completely take away each piece and store in air tight container.
  18. Maida burfi is ready to serve
  19. It was so delicious. Easy and quick sweet for any occasion.
