In a pan add 2 chopped onion and saute
Add 1 tsp oil
Add 1 tsp fennel seeds or sombu
Add 1 tsp khus khus
Add 2 tbsp coconuts
Saute well till everything becomes darker in Color.
Add few kalpasi or black stone flower
Cool down completely and add to a mixie jar
Grind to a smooth paste add water if required and keep aside
In the same pan add oil
Add curry leaves
And ground masala paste
Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Add 2 tbsp chilly powder
Add tomatoes five finely chopped add required salt.
Cover and cook till tomatoes become mushy
Add 1 glass water and allow to boil
Boil 4 potatoes and cut into cubes
Add to the boiling gravy
Boil in low flame for 5 mins
Check for spiciness add pepper if required
Spicy potato Kurma is ready
Serve it for chapati or rice
