Method
- Preheat a pan to make dry masala powder for this recipe
- Add 1 tbsp urad dal
- Add 1 tsp pepper corns
- Add 4-5 red chilly according to your spice level
- Add 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Add 1 tsp fennel seeds. Dry roast well. Cool down completely and grind to fine powder and keep aside.
- In the same pan add 2 tsp oil
- Add chopped onion and curry leaves saute well till transparent.
- Add 1 tsp salt and cook
- Add cooked and cut potatoes
- Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Add ground masala powder for this recipe. Adjust the masala powder according to your spice level.
- Fry well in low flame. Till it becomes crispy.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.
- Karaikudi style potato fry is ready to serve.
