Coriander leaves pulao | kids lunch box ideas

Ingredients
  

  • Handfull coriander leaves
  • 1 Inch Ginger / இஞ்சி
  • 5-6 Garlic cloves / பூண்டு பற்கள்
  • 3 Green Chilly / பச்சை மிளகாய்
  • Bay Leaf / பிரியாணி இலை
  • Cinnamon stick / இலவங்கப்பட்டை
  • Cloves
  • Cardamon pods
  • 2 Big onion / பெரிய வெங்காயம்
  • 1 tomato
  • Few Curry Leaves / கறிவேப்பிலை
  • 2 Glass Rice / அரிசி
  • 5 Glass Water

Method
 

  1. Wash handful of fresh coriander leaves.
  2. Add 1 inch chopped ginger piece
  3. Add 4-5 garlic cloves
  4. Add 2 green chilly
  5. Grind to a smooth paste by adding little water
  6. In a pan add 2 tsp ghee
  7. Add bayleaves, cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamon pods
  8. Add 1 green chilly saute well
  9. Add few curry leaves
  10. Add 2 chopped onions
  11. Add chopped 1 tomatoes
  12. Add ground coriander paste. Do not saute more than a min. Otherwise it losts its nutrients.
  13. Mix everything well
  14. Add 2 glass soaked daily use rice
  15. Add required salt
  16. Add 5 glass water totally. For 1 glass rice 2 and 1/2 glass water.
  17. Allow to boil check for salt
  18. Transfer to a cooker vessel place it inside cooker
  19. And pressure cook for 3 whistles
  20. After the pressure subsides serve hot
  21. Coriander leaves pulao is ready to serve.
