Chilly paneer gravy

Ingredients
  

  • 250 Gms Paneer
  • 2 Tsp Corn flour / சோள மாவு
  • 2 Tsp Chilly Powder / மிளகாய் தூள்
  • 1 Cup Capsicum
  • 5 Tomatoes / தக்காளி 3 for gravy 3 for adding atlast
  • 4 Onions / வெங்காயம் 2 for gravy 2 for adding at last
  • 1 Inch Ginger / இஞ்சி
  • 10-12 Garlic cloved
  • 10-12 Red chilly / சிவப்பு மிளகாய்
  • Required Salt
  • 1-2 Tsp Kashmiri red chilly powder For gravy
  • Few Curry leave
  • Few Coriander Leaves / கொத்துமல்லி தழை

Method
 

  1. In a plate or bowl add 2 tsp corn flour
  2. Add 2 tsp chilly powder and required salt
  3. Add water and make fine paste
  4. Coat the paneer cubes with the masala
  5. Cut capsicum into square shapes, cut onions into half and cut into X shape and peel each petals. Similarly cut tomatoes into square or rec shapes.
  6. Soak 10-12 red chilly in hot water.
  7. In a bowl add chilly and pour hot water.
  8. In a pan add oil
  9. Add paneer cubes in batches and fry them. Keep aside.
  10. In the same pan add 1 inch ginger chopped
  11. 10-12 garlic cloves
  12. Add 2 chopped onion and saute well
  13. Once the onion changes color switch off.
  14. Cool down completely and add to a mixie jar
  15. Add soaked red chilly along with water.
  16. Grind to fine paste. Keep aside.
  17. In a pan add oil
  18. Add ground paste
  19. Add 2 chopped tomatoes for the gravy.
  20. Add required salt.
  21. Add chilly powder if needed
  22. Add square shaped tomatoes now
  23. Add cut capsicum I got red and yellow.
  24. Saute well. As the capsicum is thick add some water and cook.
  25. Sprinkle a little water and allow to boil.
  26. Once the gravy becomes thickened.
  27. Add fried paneer and mix gently.
  28. Chilly paneer gravy is ready to serve.
