Carrot Ladoo - Kajar ka laddu

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 1/4 th cup Grated coconut
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 1/2 cup Sugar / சர்க்கரை
  • 3 Cardamom
  • 3 Cloves
  • 3 tbsp Ghee / நெய்
  • Cashews and Raisins

Method
 

  1. Grated carrots 1 cup
  2. Took 1/4 cup grated coconuts
  3. Took 1/2 cup sugar
  4. 1/2 cup milk powder
  5. Cashews and raisins
  6. 3 tbsp ghee
  7. cloves, cardamom and food color
  8. In a pan add ghee and roast cashews and raisins. Transfer to a plate.
  9. In the same pan add grated carrots and saute till raw smell goes off.
  10. Add grated coconuts and saute well.
  11. Meanwhile powder sugar, cloves, cardamom in a mixie jar.
  12. Add the ground sugar mixture to the pan and saute well
  13. Add milk powder and saute well.
  14. Sugar dissolves and combine well. Add a tsp ghee and saute well. Add food color it is completely optional.
  15. Once it starts leaving the pan add roasted cashews and raisins. Once done transfer to a plate and cool down the mixture.
  16. Once cooled down start shaping ladoos.
  17. Keep a cashew in each laddoo.
  18. Yummy carrot laddoo is ready to serve.
