Ajwain / Omam paratha | weight loss recipe | North Indian style

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Wheat flour
  • 2 Tsp Ajwain / Omam
  • 2 Tsp Kashmiri red chilly powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Curd / தயிர்
  • Water
  • Oil

Method
 

  1. Take 2 cups wheat flour
  2. Add 1 tsp salt
  3. Add 2 tsp ajwain or omam
  4. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  5. Add 2 tsp kashmiri red chilly powder
  6. Mix everything well by hands
  7. Add 1 tsp curd
  8. Add water little by little and knead dough
  9. Knead for long time for soft parathas
  10. Give rest for at least half an hour
  11. Take a small ball sized dough
  12. Flatten it
  13. Add oil and spread all over
  14. Fold into a half circle
  15. Add oil again and spread. Fold into triangle shape
  16. Dust flour and flatten again
  17. Preheat tawa
  18. Cook on medium flame
  19. Apply oil if you prefer
  20. Ajwain ka paratha is ready. Serve with raita.
