Ingredients
  

  • 1 Full Cucumber
  • 4-5 Pieces Coconut / தேங்காய்
  • 4-5 Tbsp Curd / தயிர்
  • 1 Tsp Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Cumin seeds powder
  • 1 Tsp Mustard seeds / கடுகு 1/2 tsp for grinding , 1/2 tsp for tempering
  • 1/2 Tsp Ura dal
  • Few Curry Leaves / கறிவேப்பிலை

Method
 

  1. Wash cucumber and cut into small pieces do not peel of the skin.
  2. Meanwhile take 3-4 good pieces of coconut in a mixie jar.
  3. Add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds to the mixie jar
  4. Add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds.
  5. Grind to a smooth paste by adding little water.
  6. We need fresh curd to prepare this aviyal.
  7. Add required salt in the cut cucumber.
  8. Add ground coconut paste
  9. Mix well.
  10. Add 4-5 tbsp fresh curd. Add even more if you like.
  11. Add 1 tsp oil in a small wok. Add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds. Add 1/2 tsp Urad dal and few Curry leaves.
  12. Now add it to the aviyal prepared.
  13. Mix well and serve. You can also leave it a hour so that it tastes good.
  14. Cucumber avial a healthy and tasty recipe is ready. You can have it alone or with rice or chapathi.
