Introduction – Our Munnar Trip 🌿⛰️

Munnar, with its misty mountains, lush green tea plantations, winding roads, and refreshing climate, is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Kerala. Our Munnar trip was a wonderful escape from our busy routine and a chance to enjoy the peaceful beauty of nature. As we travelled through the scenic roads, every turn offered breathtaking views of green hills, tea estates, waterfalls, and clouds floating over the mountains. From enjoying the cool weather to exploring beautiful places and tasting local food, every moment of the journey was special. Cochin to Munnar Road Trip 🌿⛰️

Join us on a beautiful road trip from Cochin (Kochi) to Munnar, travelling through Kerala’s lush green countryside, winding mountain roads, waterfalls, plantations, and misty hills. 🚗🌴

Our journey included refreshing stops at Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls, along with a small roadside waterfall. We enjoyed the scenic tea plantations and a spice garden, experiencing the natural beauty and greenery of Munnar.

We also visited the Flora & Fauna Eco Park, where we explored the peaceful surroundings and enjoyed seeing plants, flowers, butterflies, birds, and other natural beauty. 🌿🦋🐦

After a memorable day of travel and sightseeing, we reached Southern Panorama Indriya Resorts & Spa, located about 16 km from Munnar, where we relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful mountain surroundings. 🏨🌄

From waterfalls and tea estates to spices, greenery, and mountain views, our Cochin to Munnar road trip was a refreshing and memorable journey. 💚

🌿 Munnar Day 2 – Eravikulam National Park

Our second day in Munnar began with a complimentary breakfast at Southern Panorama Indriya Resorts & Spa, followed by a scenic drive through the misty hills and beautiful tea plantations. ☕🌄

We visited Eravikulam National Park and enjoyed the breathtaking mountain views, foggy roads, and lush greenery. One of the highlights was seeing the Nilgiri Tahr, a unique mountain animal of the Western Ghats. 🦌🌿

We also stopped at scenic viewpoints for photos and enjoyed Munnar’s cool, misty weather and endless tea gardens. The fog, clouds, and occasional rain made the journey even more memorable. 🌫️☁️🍃

🌧️ Foggy Munnar – An Unexpected Turn

Our Munnar trip took an unexpected turn when heavy rain and dense fog covered the hills. After visiting Eravikulam National Park and the Tea Museum, we stopped for some Kerala shopping and bought a beautiful Kerala saree and traditional pavadai chattai for our kids. ❤️

By around 4:30 PM, the fog became extremely dense and visibility dropped significantly, making driving difficult. We decided to turn back and return safely to our hotel. 🚗🌫️

It was an unforgettable Munnar experience filled with rain, misty roads, tea plantations, shopping, and wonderful family memories! ❤️🌿⛰️

🌿 Gap Road & Lock Heart View Point – Munnar

One of the memorable experiences of our Munnar trip was driving through the scenic Gap Road and visiting Lock Heart View Point. The winding mountain road offers beautiful views of the green hills, tea plantations, and mist-covered landscapes. 🌿⛰️

At Lock Heart View Point, we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and panoramic views of the Munnar hills. The cool breeze, clouds, fog, and lush greenery made the place perfect for spending some relaxing family time and capturing beautiful photographs. 📸❤️

The drive itself was a wonderful experience, with every turn revealing a different view of Munnar’s natural beauty. Gap Road and Lock Heart View Point are definitely memorable stops for anyone exploring the scenic side of Munnar. 🚗🌫️🍃
