Rava Kichadi recipe - mixed vegetables

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Rava
  • 3 cups Water
  • 5 tbsp Oil
  • Mustard seeds, urad dal
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 Tomatoes / தக்காளி
  • Curry Leaves / கறிவேப்பிலை
  • corainder leaves
  • mixed veggies
  • 1 Green Chilly / பச்சை மிளகாய்
  • Mint leaves / புதினா இலைகள்
  • Ginger / இஞ்சி
  • Cashew
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1/4 tsp Garam Masala

Instructions
 

  • I have used earthern clay pot, add 5 tbsp oil
  • Add mustard seeds
  • Add channa dal and urad dal
  • Add finely chopped one onion
  • Add cashew (optional)
  • Add chopped 2 tomato, Add salt to taste
  • Add chopped vegetables of your choice
  • Add fresh green peas
  • Add chopped ginger
  • Add curry leaves, mint leaves and green chilly
  • Saute vegetables in oil
  • Meanwhile dry roast rava. Took 1 cup rava/ sooji
  • Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Add 3 cups of water for 1 cup rava
  • Allow to boil well make sure the veg is cooked
  • Now start adding roasted rava little by little stir continously
  • Keep in low flame and cook
  • Add chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4 th tsp of garam masala
  • Cover and cook for 2 mins
  • Open and mix
  • Soft and non-sticky kichadi is ready to serve
  • Served with coconut chutney
