வெண்டைக்காய் புளி குழம்பு | Vendakkai puli kuzhambu recipe in Tamil

Tamilnadu Style Vendakkai puli kuzhambu – Kulambu – Ladies Finger in tamarind curry also known as the Vendakkai Puli Kuzhambu is a tangy and spicy curry made from okras also known as lady's fingers / Vendakkai. The curry is cooked in a tamarind and tomato curry base and flavored with shallots preferably but I used normal onion, chilly powder, coriander powder and curry leaves. This kulambu as many versions all over Tamil Nadu. Some people use coconuts to make a thicker version of the kulambu and this is served in hotels for the meals. Both have its own taste and flavor. In this recipe I have not use coconuts and this stays good even for the next day.
Serve the Vendakkai Puli Kuzhambu  along with steamed rice, appalam or vathal for a delicious lunch meal on a working day.
