Ajwain / Omam paratha | weight loss recipe | North Indian style

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Wheat flour
  • 2 Tsp Ajwain / Omam
  • 2 Tsp Kashmiri red chilly powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Curd / தயிர்
  • Water
  • Oil

Instructions
 

  • Take 2 cups wheat flour
  • Add 1 tsp salt
  • Add 2 tsp ajwain or omam
  • Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Add 2 tsp kashmiri red chilly powder
  • Mix everything well by hands
  • Add 1 tsp curd
  • Add water little by little and knead dough
  • Knead for long time for soft parathas
  • Give rest for at least half an hour
  • Take a small ball sized dough
  • Flatten it
  • Add oil and spread all over
  • Fold into a half circle
  • Add oil again and spread. Fold into triangle shape
  • Dust flour and flatten again
  • Preheat tawa
  • Cook on medium flame
  • Apply oil if you prefer
  • Ajwain ka paratha is ready. Serve with raita.
