Wash and soak double beans in water over night. Add more water because it doubles in size. And also keep in a big vessel to get enough space. Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
Pressure cook potatoes along with double beans in a separate vessel if you have space in your cooker or else cook them separately.
In a pan add 2 tsp oil
Add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds and cumin seeds
Add double beans to the pan
Add cubed potatoes to the pan.
Further add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Add 1 tbsp chilly powder
Add or increase spice if needed
Add 1 tsp salt or as per required.
Stir gently binding all the masalas
Keep in lowest flame possible and stir continuously without burning them.
Add curry leaves and coriander leaves
You can serve with rice or roti.
