This authentic Ellu mittai can be given to diabetes patients. As it is rich in iron and calcium pregnant women and breastfeeding mom can have it rarely but not often.

Sesame Ladoo | எள்ளு மிட்டாய் | Ellu urundai
Clean and add 50 gms black sesame seeds in a pan and dry roast.
Clean and add 50 gms white sesame seeds in a pan and dry roast.
Dry roast till it splutters
Cool it down completely. Take equal amounts of jaggery to the sesame seeds.
In a vessel add half glass water
Allow to boil in low flame
Once the jaggery dissolves completely switch off
Strain for impurities in a non stick pan
Add 1/2 tsp cardamon powder
Once the jaggery boils to porous and sticky
Add sesame seeds to the jaggery.
Once the sesame seeds absorbs jaggery switch off and cool down for 5-10 mins
Make balls out of the mixture.
