Radish masala chapati recipe | mullangi masala chapati

Radish masala chapati one of my colleagues has introduced this recipe for me for weight loss. I did some variations by adding extra ingredients other than radish to make more flavorful chapati.

Kids those who avoid eating radish can be given this. As they could not find the radish in this chapati.

Radish has numerous health benefits some of them let me state you briefly.

As radish is a low glycemic index food it is good for diabetes and also prevent diabetes. Radish helps with weight loss as it is extremely low in calories and rich in fibre. As this vegetable contains vitamins C and antioxidants, radish keeps you look younger. You can even apply raw radish on your skin. It is good for kidney health. It’s high fibre content overcomes constipation. radish regulates blood pressure. It lowers cancer risk. (www.thehealthsite.com).

Raddish masala chapati recipe | mullangi masala chapati
Instructions
  1. Add 2 cups wheat flour in a vessel.
  2. Add 1 tsp cumin seeds
  3. Add few Curry leaves chopped.
  4. Add few chopped coriander leaves.
  5. Add 1/2 tbsp chilly powder.
  6. Add 1/2 tsp salt.
  7. Add 1 radish grated.
  8. Raddish is watery vegetable so yo do not need to add much water.
  9. Mix well for at least 5 mins. Radish leaves water so blend well by hands.
  10. After 5 mins the dough will becomes dry the flour has absorbed water from raddish.
  11. Add 2 tbsp curd adjust to the wetness of the flour.
  12. Mix well. Curd keeps chapati soft for longer time. You can take this for lunch too. It will be soft
  13. If you need add little water and knead the dough.
  14. Knead the dough for at least 5 mins.
  15. Once the dough is ready close and keep away for 1/2 an hour.
  16. After half an hour. Take medium sized balls and flatten chapati. Place on hot tawa and cook on both sides.
  17. Apply little oil all over.
  18. Raddish masala chapati is ready.
  19. I served with spicy version of onion raita with chilly powder sprinkled on top of the raita.
