Masala chapati

Bored of eating chapati in your weight loss regime. Try this masala chapati and make your taste buds active. This recipe is from my mom’s kitchen. My mom will do this mostly in Saturday nights. I prepared this recipe for my husband and in laws they were feeling different to eat masala chapati, I often do this with modifying the ingredients with methi leaves, grated cabbage etc.

You can have this chapati without any sidedish or if you want have it with onion raita.

Masala chapati
Instructions
  1. Add 1 cup left over rice or freshly prepared. It's optional
  2. Add cumin seeds.
  3. Add fennel seeds.
  4. Add 1 tbsp chilly powder.
  5. Add 1 TSP coriander powder.
  6. Add 1/2 TSP turmeric powder
  7. Add 1 TSP salt
  8. Add chopped onion, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
  9. Mash everything well by hands.
  10. Add 2 cups wheat flour mix everything well.
  11. Add water little by little and knead the dough.
  12. Once the dough is ready close and give a rest time of 15 minutes.
  13. After 15 minutes flatten it like chapati.
  14. Put in a hot tawa and cook on both sides.
  15. Turn other side and cook. Apply oil on both sides.
  16. Masala chapati is ready to serve with onion raita.
