Mango Pachadi Recipe / Tamil new year recipe

Raw Mango pachadi my all time favorite side dish. Goes well with sambhar sadham and thayir saadham. I have learnt this from my mother. Usually she will prepare in the main festival of Tamil new year. In this recipe we cut mango into cubes and we dont grate the mangoes, as I love it to have it like this.

Instructions
  1. In a pan add little oil and put mustard seeds and cumin seeds and saute.
  2. Add few curry leaves and saute.
  3. Add cut mangoes along with mango seed and saute.
  4. Add 1 tsp chilly powder, 1/2 TSP turmeric powder and 1/2 TSP salt.
  5. Saute till all masala bind with the mango.
  6. Add half glass water and allow it to boil.
  7. Once the mango is 90% cooked add 2 tbsp jaggery and mix well.
  8. Allow it to boil till the gravy thickens.
  9. The mango pachadi is ready. Serve it. My all time favorite dish.
