One of my favorite dish during my childhood. My mom will often prepare it during the evening snack time. I prepared this for my in-laws and my hubby. They were very excited to have this. And they wonder how it will cook in water, and how it will taste. But once I serve them they were happy to eat mallidha. It was easy to prepare Mallidha. It was delicious !!!

Mallidha Recipe / Indian Sweet Recipe
For flavoring and garnishing
Make dough similar for making chapati. Give a resting time for 1/2 hour.
Make even sized balls small in size. As we are going to cook this in water. It will be difficult to turn over.
Roll out into small sized chapati. But dont flatten it hard. Roll gently.
In a heavy bottomed vessel pour water fully.
Add little salt and boil till bubbles.
The vessel should be little deeper. As the mallidha will cook deep inside and float once its cooked
Add rolled out mallidha into the water once it start bubbling. It will go deep inside the vessel.
Once it cooked it will float in water. Turn other side cook for few seconds and transfer it to a plate.
While transferring make sure not more water is transferred to the plate. Use a holed ladle to take mallidha out.
Add grated coconut, sugar and powdered cardamon to mallidha.
Similarly prepare the other in batches.
Delicious mallidha sweet is ready. Serve it hot.
