Rice flour kozhukattai prepared with coconut and jaggery pooranam is the dish which we prepare often while offering god in the occasions of varalakshmi viradham, vinayagar chathurthi, Tamil new year etc. This kozhukattai I learnt from my cousin sister long back during my college days.
Authentic pooranam kozhukattai everyone loves to have this. There are many versions of this kozhukattai from sweet to spicy version and also in sweet version people stuff variety of pooranam inside like coconut with sugar, coconut with jaggery, sesame seeds with jaggery, roasted gram dal with sooji and sugar etc. For Vinayagar chaturthi mostly they prepare sesame seeds pooranam kozhukattai. There is also a spicy version of kozhukattai named ammini kozhukattai which I prepare during Ganesh chaturthi.
